Sold in boxes of six 75-cl bottles.

Grape variety: 100% Chenin.

Terroir: Purple shales on the Bonnezeaux hillside facing due south

Vinification: Harvesting by hand with careful sorting of the grapes on the plot early in the morning, low-pressure pressing, nitrogen inerting of the must and rapid temperature reduction to extract the grape variety’s freshest fruit and aromas, gradual raising of the temperature, start of fermentation and stirring of the lees with nitrogen and some oxygenation if necessary.

Wine profile: This pure Chenin, with no barrel aging, grown on the shaly soils of the Bonnezeaux terroirs, is for us the clearest and most transparent expression of the Loire’s leading grape variety. Tense, sharp and forthright on the palate with a precise, powerful nose, the Montagne cuvée will age well.

Tasting note: The generous, complex nose reveals an appetizing bitterness and buttery aromas.
The first impression in the mouth is tense and forthright, before giving way to the expression of a superb minerality, characteristic of Bonnezeaux phtanite soils.
2019 was a powerful, sunny year that pushed our old vine stocks to ripen and has made this vintage a Chenin with a real tannic structure that elevates it.
